Companies sell data bases to each other all the time. It is part of their business. Not only that, they also own several apps for your phone where the price is your data. FB have access to that.
And again, Linked in have public profiles, so if they want to use that data, they can.
Also, a simple search on FB would show that many people port about their jobs and interest, so it would be easy to use that instead of sex to decide who see a job ad.
But the fact that you make a false claim like “women are not interested on those jobs” despite the obvious fact that if they weren’t interested they won’t complain and you would be unable to find women on those professions on linkedin, show that you are the one biased. How many contradicting data do you need to start considering that your premise about women not being interested is false?
In fact software for candidate selection is designed to have as many candidates as possible, they look as things like how many click make them drop from and offer. And FB discard potential candidates based on sex and not skills? That is plain stupid.
If you are skeptical, you might want to start considering a new premise: “that you are the one “ ideologically engaged”. After all, your premised aren’t supported by data. There are indeed women interested on those jobs, it is easy to see with simple search on several platforms, FB included.
But since you are under the illusion that companies didn’t cross different data bases on their analysis, another example:
Look a FB page where you can find women interested on a male dominated area. And there are women who follow groups on FB about those interest! who would have guess? Logic would dictate that following FB pages about those interest are a variable way more relevant than sex, but I guess that I am the blind one for daring to make a 30 second search before jumping to conclusion while you are rational by discarding all the obvious data that contradict your beliefs… Sure. XD
